For over 30 years, she has worked in corrections, law enforcement, and its periphery working toward understanding and equal justice. She has been an administrator, and state grantor for 22 counties; responsible for multi-million dollar budgets and the development and implementation of specialized projects within the region. Currently an adjunct professor of Criminal Justice studies, as well as a Community Involvement Specialist with Broward Sheriffs Office. She has over 30 years of public service.

Her educational background is comprised of an Associate and Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration from Park University, which was accredited at the time of the earned degree. Both degrees were earned while serving in the United States Army.

She holds a Master of Science degree from Florida International University accredited at the time of the earned degree; she held two jobs while completing this degree.

She has also has completed a Doctorate, (Ph.D.) in Business Administration from Kennedy Western University that was unaccredited at the time of the earned degree. She is currently enrolled in Northcentral University in a business doctoral program, which is accredited.

She is the current Chair of the Human Rights Board, Director of the Broward County Crime Commission, and has recently served on the Fort Lauderdale Community Services Board.

A member of the Broward Democratic Executive Committee, and the Dolphin Democratic Club, she recently received the "Humanitarian of the Year" award presented by former Attorney General Janet Reno.

Adriane has been a poll worker for the Broward County Supervisor of Elections, and remains vocal regarding civic duty, responsibility, and community outreach efforts and voting.

She has stepped up to the challenge of restoring confidence in the community and having its voice be heard in the election process.

Adriane will run an election office dedicated to free and fair access, serving all voters of Broward County equally, regardless of political affiliation.

Upon her election, she will work tirelessly to encourage greater community participation through community outreach and education.

March 2008

Broward County Womens History Coalition - As the first elected female Chair of the Broward County Human Rights Board, Adriane was instrumental in the addition of the protected classes of pregnancy and gender identity that were recently added to the Broward County 16 and 1/2 ordinance protecting against discrimination.

November 2007

Adriane led a Humanitarian and Educational Delegation to South Africa through the Dwight D. Eisenhower PTPA.


October 2007

Dolphin Humanitarian of the year award, presented to Adriane by former Attorney General Janet Reno.
